How JG Eventing started...
Despite coming from a completely non-equestrian background, Jennifer has always been very passionate about horses from a very early age, and through years of hard work and sheer determination has built up a team of horses which compete successfully at affiliated Eventing. She has never had access to large amounts of finances to pursue her dream, but believes that if you really want something and are determined enough to never give up on your dreams, anything is possible.
Representing Team GBR
During her time at the University of Reading, Jennifer represented the University at the prestigious BUCS (British University and College Sport) National Championships held at Hartpury, and won the individual overall Gold Medal. Student Riding is a unique competition where each competitor competes on borrowed horses they only have minutes to form a bond with before competing in dressage up to Advanced-Medium level and Show Jumping up to 1m 40cm. Riders are judged on their riding alone, and that week Jennifer excelled against many riders which had previously represented GBR and competed at Advanced British Eventing competitions.
It was this win where she was talent spotted and invited to attend training sessions with the elite GB International Squad, and was subsequently invited to Nation Cup competitions, placing:
** Romania SRNC - Ind. 3rd SJ & Tea Silver dressage. Ind. ranked best of the Brits
** Spain SRNC - Ind. 1st Dressage & Team Silver medal. ** Sweden SRNC - Team GBR Gold in the dressage phase.

Jennifer strongly believes that:
"Horses are creatures of habit, they enjoy a well structured, consistent routine with correct and varied exercise. However horses are also individuals and must be treated as so. It is amazing what can be achieved when the horse is in a yard where correct management takes place and the horse is trained using correct methods to build muscle and produce a horse who is confident, off the aids and enjoys their work. So many people forget that successful riding is all about the partnership between horse and rider, and a happy, confident and well trained horse will always go above and beyond of what you ask of it. Out competing, this is often the difference between a placing and going home empty handed. Riding is all about forming a partnership and almost becoming one being, working perfectly in harmony with your horse."
Jennifer is a quiet rider who enjoys taking on the challenge of 'problem horses' who many other people cannot go further with, and producing horses up the levels and watching them excel, whether with herself or with a rider she trains.
